In today’s episode we will talk about season 2 of the HBO show Perry Mason and the true crime story that inspired the season. In this episode we will compare and contrast the true crime story and the fictionalized story. As of the recording of this episode season 2 has not yet wrapped so we have no idea how the season will end. If you have not watched the season and do not want spoilers I recommend that you do not listen to this episode; otherwise you have been warned.
Perry Mason is an American period drama television series created by Rolin Jones and Ron Fitzgerald for HBO. It is based on the novels by Erle Stanley Gardner, which was later made into a television series in the 50’s and 60’s where the title character was played by the wonderful Raymond Burr. The HBO series stars Matthew Rhys in the title role and premiered on June 21, 2020. Season 2 premiered on March 6th 2023.
